HOW TO HAVE A HIGHER QUALITY OF LIFE AT NO COST TO YOU THROUGH ART
by Ricardo Santiago Soto, MBA
INTRODUCTION
My therapist tells me to think about my successes in life as a way to confront groups of people including when making introductions. It feels egotistical at first, but I figured it is best to think universally when it comes to ethics or to think win-win. In this paper, I hope to not seem egotistical, rather I hope to help you win in life at no cost to you. How? Through art. Art has given me amazing opportunities that I could only dream of, which actually came through via art and culture.
I.
ART
Awards
I have only won 10 art awards within fine art, specifically drawing. However, I have won many more awards within the arts, such as photography, music, and screenwriting. I have won awards on a local level with hundreds of applicants all the way to the international stage with tens of thousands of applicants. To date, I have not won a Grammy, Oscar, and/or Golden Globe, due to not applying. I have a Worldfest Silver Remi Award for Best New Artist (Canadian Screen Award Qualifying). I also possess a WINDIFF Lifetime Achievement Award for Best Photography. In total, I have won 83 awards, thus far.
Social Class
Art has opened the door to new friendships. Many acquaintances and friends have inquired about my art. I am known as an artist by old friends. Art has even opened my life to social engagements that were not available to me on my own. I was invited to social events that included travels and social parties. In high school, I was friends with cheerleaders and dated a few. I was lucky enough to date an old female friend who eventually became the homecoming queen. I enjoyed the company of women that I am known as someone who dates more than one woman at a time. As an adult, I have joined social circles that is esteemed by society, such as Marquis Who's Who.
REWARDS
Art has given me access to publicists who have connections to media outlets, such as ABC, Bloomberg, Cosmopolitan, Elle, Forbes, Fox, Glamour, Maxim, NBC, USA Today, and Vogue. I hire a publicist once per year to stay relevant. Ghost writers have offered me to write a best seller on my behalf. Companies offering me a Wiki page, so I show up on the first page of Google has also been marketed to me. Social media celebrity status marketing services has been offered to me as well, such as increase in followers and likes. Ambassadorships for various brands comes up to promote sunglasses, nutritional supplements, as well as, jewelry.
These rewards were all working to build my brand/credibility even higher.

WHAT DID I WANT?
I simply used art as a creative outlet. After my cousin's murder by the SMPD, I needed more of a creative outlet. I was undergoing lots of intelligence community abuses towards me for simply speaking out in his defense. The intelligence community was suppressing my feelings, silencing me, trying to anger, while irritating me all attempting to manufacture me into a terrorist. Instead, I made lemonade out of lemons by creating art. I redirected those manufactured feelings into creating art, which won me most of my awards within 5-10 years. Making art makes me feel better as I create by using my creativity and creative juices. It all began when I was young by turning a boring situation into fun through creativity. I was taught at an early age to be productive. I mixed the two together, creativity and being productive, which created the output I generated.
REWARDS
By having a creative outlet, my output has generated a constant stream of business ideas. These business ideas created business ventures. I have 15 prototypes in various stages of development. I have two corporations (s-corp, c-corp), sole proprietorship, founded a nonprofit with a board of directors, and two associations. I do a lot of visualization to motivate me in life and to come up with ideas. I consider myself as being visionary. I can see far into the future for products, services, and world-building. This makes me marketable as a product manager for my own business and/or for other businesses. I come up with novel ideas. I have filed for patents, which are patentable. I am still figuring out the claims language in patent applications to turn my ideas into official patents.
This creative outlet works to position me with greater valuation/innovation.
III.
WAY OF LIFE
Creativity is a way of life for me. I apply art into my everyday life. I look for ways to create. I always have various projects going on at the same time to keep me busy and not bored. I try to find the beauty in things. I try to create beauty. Finding beauty and creating beauty often matches me to beauty. Beauty gives me power and energy. I use that power and energy to create even more. It is an endless cycle. Yet, it is hard to create with no money, so I think of ways to make money. I find ways to create, while making money. This has caused me to be forward thinking and original. Art often creates culture and in that I am in the forefront. I get a lot of inspiration from finance and watching financial news to see where innovation exists. I also get inspiration from celebrities. I marry the two (finance, celebrities) to create my own life.
REWARDS
For me, to be a real artist--I have to keep developing my art to the fullest. This means going beyond drawing or fine art. Fine art is useful as a critic of your own work and/or appraiser of work. However, to me art is building your own tool, which is yourself into being the best it can possibly become. It is self-development, but encompasses the arts. This means using various arts and becoming good in each. Actually, it means being the best you can become in each, which will turn you into your own celebrity. By being your own celebrity, you make life fun. You incorporate the arts into your life, which is fun. You are the celebrity, which attracts more fun. Hopefully, you can add a transaction or two within the mix of it all. Overall, you are creating experiences at zero cost.
Everyday should be different, you work to keep things in life fresh and new.
CONCLUSION
Art really does not cost any money. If you draw, you are only paying for the paper and pencil. If you are writing a novel, it takes your imagination along with pencil and paper. If you are modeling, it takes your body and posing the right way. If you are singing, it just takes your voice and effort. If you are acting, it takes your voice and body to project the right scenes. You simply need creativity and effort on your part. Creativity and effort will help you build your brand along with credibility. Creativity and effort will help you have greater valuation/innovation. Creativity and effort will help you keep life fresh/new. It takes an idea and initiative. If you are having a boring life or want more out of life then create the life you imagine. You too can have higher quality of life at no cost to you.
